Artists in Schools & Communities Residencies Introduction
The Artists in Schools and Communities program supports both a wide range of residencies (lasting from as short as a day to as long as two years) by professional working artists and local or regional arts organizations (touring or locally based).
The Artists in Schools and Communities program contains three distinct components, which provide intensive, participatory experiences:
- Artist Visits, lasting one to four days
- Residencies
- Short-Term Residencies — 20 to 80 hours of instruction
- Long-Term Residencies — more than 80 hours of instruction and can last up to two years
- Special projects
