The Montana Arts Council is excited to offer our state’s nonprofit cultural organizations a free 3-hour seminar in financial health. The workshop is online Thursday, Nov. 14, 2024, from 12-3pm MT.
REGISTER HERE by November 4th. This workshop has a capacity of 90 participants so please register now.
The workshop is hosted by Grantmakers in the Arts (GIA), the nation’s only association of both public and private arts and culture funders in the US.
GIA defines capitalization as “the accumulation of the resources an organization needs to fulfill its mission over time,” specifically for its financial health. Since its launch in 2010, GIA has provided resources, conferences sessions, publications, and workshops on nonprofit capitalization. GIA’s Capitalization and Nonprofit Financial Health workshops are specialized workshops, held separately for funders and nonprofits, focusing on what each group can do to support the financial health of nonprofit arts and culture organizations. Some of the key themes of the workshop are outlined in a recent GIA blog post.
