In this issue: Keep the Gold

The Summer 2025 State of the Arts looks for the best in arts and the ways we make the most of what we have.

Indigipalooza Celebrate Native arts in this place we call Montana, in poetry, in images, in music, in food.

Transitions We've lost some cultural giants recently—fierce advocates for and deft practitioners of the arts. Hear about their extraordinary lives and careers.

Shakespeare In the Parks The venerable touring company speaks the speech in its 53rd season, bringing the vasty fields of France to Big Sky Country with productions of Henry V and As You Like It.

Born to Run Recording Sessions Meet Toby Scott, a Whitefish resident who's recording some great local musicians using skills he honed with artists named Springsteen and Dylan.

Traditional Arts, New Voices Folk arts don't have to be folksy, as a new generation of practitioners who descended on Butte's annual Folk Festival demonstrate.

Poetry on Tap Montana poet laureate Chris La Tray has some parting shots as his term comes to an end, and Keetje Kuipers talks about what comes next.
