The Montana Arts Council's Strategic Plan
Want to know more about what we’re doing, and why? The Montana Arts Council conducted a statewide listening project throughout most of 2024 2024 to evaluate the needs of Montana communities, artists and arts organizations. We partnered with the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies (NASAA) to conduct an in-depth statewide survey to get a bead on with the most current needs and challenges confronting Montana's arts sector—with almost 900 responses from all over the state. We held community meetings and individual conversations in every region, and also conducted vigorous dialogue with entities nationwide to put our state’s struggles and opportunities into a national perspective.
The findings from this year-long process have helped shape our focus for the coming years as we implement our new strategic plan.
